The airport is open 24 hours, and there are some areas open during this time but for travelling passengers and not to the general public, apart from the Medical Services :
Duty-Free & Shopping: Duty-Free is available, and one is open 24 hours a day during peak season.
Food & Drinks: Coffee available 24 hours on Floor 4, Departures, Airside.
Medical Services: 24/7 First Aid is available on Floor 2, Check-in Area

Tax Free Mallorca – Most big shops will have it advertised like Corte Inglés and C & A. When you buy perfume for example, you can register for tax free, and then you have to go to the Customer Service department to get your receipts checked.
How can I claim the VAT back ?
When you go back to the airport you then have the receipt scanned that was processed by the shop / store.
If it does not pass, you would then need to confirm your purchases at the airport with the Civil Guard (Guardia Civil). Make sure you have the items you have purchased with you as they may need to see them. It is a good idea to leave plenty of time to do this, as there can be queues.
Either you get the cash back then, or you can post the information by completing the form with your bank details and it goes into your bank account.
You must validate your receipts to get the VAT back within 3 months of purchase.
